The Second Harvest boxes are ready for delivery. All the food Elementary boys donate will have a second life by being distributed to people in need.
Inspired by Koru, an integral symbol in Māori art, G5 students are using watercolours to create dark and light variations.
Grade 3 boys investigate what happens to room temperature water as it warms and cools in science lesson.
Elementary students in St. Mary's took part in the Hour of Code. Students in St. Mary's start learning how to code in RP, which helps them develop 21st-century learning skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication and problem solving.
During quarter 2, Grade 5 have been learning all about explorers! We have been reading about them in our complex nonfiction unit, writing about them in our research reports unit, and studying about explorers in social studies.
The RP boys have been working on their information writing and have completed a pattern book which we hope will be available to sell in the new year.

We've had a terrific turn out today for the Grade 5 Water Project fair.
Grade 2 had special visitors who presented about Antarctica today! The boys learnt about the environment and animals that inhabit the South Pole.

Grade 5 would like to invite you to our biggest fundraising event of the year, our Social Studies Fair. The students have been learning about the water crises around the world with a focus on persuasive speaking and writing.
This is some of the terrific work that our Grade 5 students do when on their ski trip with their iPads. They have created a journal and then exported it into a movie. Enjoy!
This year we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the St. Mary's Book Award.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to host a NASA expert, Dr. Paul Abell, on October 30, 2018.
Dr Abell will be in Japan he is to participate in a number of very important meetings related to collaboration between JAXAs Hayabusa-2 and NASA’s OSIRIS-Rex missions. OSIRIS-Rex is NASA’s first sample return mission to an Asteroid, and Hayabus-2 is Japan’s second.

Grade 3 classes teamed up to create a graphic novel based on a book they had read.



Today our RP classes presented their Writing Celebration on Opinion writing, the topic was Saving the Earth!

Congratulations to the St. Mary's Book Award art winners. They produced GREAT works of art related to the theme what would "Dragon do if he came to St. Mary's?"
The former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh and Ambassador to Japan, Vietnam & Laos and High Commissioner to Australia, Fiji, New Zealand & Sri Lanka visited St. Mary's today.
