Health Guidelines

Temperature taking

Parents must take their son’s temperature before he leaves home and must keep him home if his temperature is 37.5°C or above. Students must be fever free (without the use of fever-reducing medication) for at least 72 hours before returning to school. All usual fever protocols are fully in place.

Specific guidelines for individuals exhibiting signs of illness

Sick students who show any signs of illness will not be permitted to attend school. If any member of the household has symptoms of COVID-19, or if any member of your household is under home quarantine, please do not send your child to school. Please do not send your child to school if he or she is showing any symptoms of illness which could be passed onto another child or adult.

Please have your medical doctor issue a medical certificate giving approval for your son to return to school.

Students who show signs of illness, or have a temperature of 37.5°C or higher will be sent home from school. This includes siblings as well. The School Nurse will call a parent to arrange immediate pick up of the sick child. While waiting for the parent to arrive, the child will be kept in a quarantine room near the nurse’s office.

  • Fever of 37.5°C or above
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue

  • New loss of taste or smell
