Visual Arts
The St. Mary’s Visual Art program aims to equip students with an ability to become visually literate, communicate ideas and acquire knowledge of artistic techniques and processes. Students have the opportunity to explore a range of media and processes including painting, drawing, mixed-media, ceramics, collage and printmaking. Students are exposed to the work of a wide range of artists and are encouraged to take creative risks, think creatively and develop technical skills. Students are taught by specialist Visual Art teachers from RP through to Grade 12.
The Visual Art department offers a variety of enrichment opportunities including trips, art clubs, collaborations with artists, competitions and exhibitions.
